Issues with quality and breakage

"We bought 2 sets of these dishes plus the pasta bowls less than a year ago. When we opened the boxes we saw quality issues with some of the pieces (finish defects, chips, uneven color, surface defects). Pfaltzgraff sent a replacement place setting. Since that time, several plates and saucers have broken from normal use. We use them in the dishwasher and microwave, but the develop hairline cracks and then break. One broke in my hand while I was using it. Pfaltzgraff offered 30% off a future purchase but we are hesitant to purchase additional items based on our experience with these dishes. My MIL has a set of Pfaltzgraff dishes from the 1970s and they are bulletproof. We were expecting the same quality and durability with these but sadly it’s not there. Go ahead and get the Walmart version of these dishes and save some money. The quality of those can’t be worse than these."

Only 5 LEFT!!

"They seemed to be nice quality. They say they are dishwasher and microwave safe but they to NOT hold up! I bought 2 sets for my daughter for Christmas and 2 months later, one plate chipped and another cracked. So I contacted Pfaltzgraff about the problem, all they were willing to help me with is 30% off for a whole new 4-piece set which we don't need. I only wanted the plates replaced. Then just last week, My son-in-law took one plate out of the microwave with food on it, only to have it break in half in his hand!! Terrible! I do not understand why Pfaltzgraff does not stand by their product!"
